Testing for JavaScript
Your browser is not JavaScript enabled. To enable JavaScript for Internet Explorer 4 and higher, click on "Tools" from the menu of your browser, then on "Internet Options..." Click on the "Security" tab, then set your security level to medium, if it is already set to medium (i.e. a custom security level is set), click on the "Custom Level..." button, scroll down to where you see "Active Scripting" (under "Scripting") and click the radio button next to "Enable."

Testing for Java
Browser is not Java enabled
If you see a gray icon to the left with a red X or a java logo, then your browser is Java enabled. If you do not see this icon and have Internet Explorer 4 or higher, set your security level to medium (if it already is, then set it to medium-low, then back to medium) to enable both Java and JavaScript. If Java is still not working, you probably have not yet downloaded the Java plugin. In which case, click
here
to get the latest version.

Testing for Flash
If you do not see an animated Flash icon to the left, your browser is not Flash enabled or you may need to update your Flash version. In either case, click
here
to download the latest Flash plugin for your browser. Note: from the macromedia site, navigate to the Flash Player download (free), NOT the Flash MX ($500).
